EHS Symphonic / Marching Band

    The Enterprise Marching Hornet band performs throughout the first semester at school assemblies, patriotic events, halftime shows for football games and local parades. The Hornet Marching Band has won many marching awards in California, Oregon and Canada.

    Although the marching band performs somewhat during the second semester, the emphasis is on classical literature. The Symphonic Band has consistent superior ratings in classical festivals for the past 21 years in region and state competition. They have won first place, sweepstakes and adjudicators awards in “Heritage” and “Music in the Parks” festivals held in San Diego, San Francisco, Anaheim, and Canada. Also, they have twice won the prestigious Hyack parade in Vancouver, Canada.

Freshman Band

    The freshman band is in a class of their own, learning basic music theory and working technical passages on more of an individual basis.  All performances are combined with the varsity marching and symphonic band for most performances.  Freshman bond as a team and learn classical literature to compete on their own for festival.  The freshman band is responsible for learning all scales, chords and transposition of instruments by the time they move to their sophomore year.
