Jazz One & Two
JAZZ STUDIES
Instrumental Jazz
Enterprise offers a tradition of jazz excellence for over twenty years featuring both vocal and instrumental award winning groups.
Instrumental jazz includes EHS Jazz 1 and Jazz 2. Both groups are by audition only. Although Jazz 1 is the more advanced instrumental jazz group both bands have experienced much success over the years in jazz competition. Jazz 1 has taken top awards or command performances at the Reno, Folsom, Cuesta, Fullerton and Santa Cruz Jazz Festivals. Jazz 1 has also taken adjudicator and awards (95 or higher by all three judges) for jazz at several Heritage and Gateway Music Festivals throughout California and Canada.
Jazz 2, although competing in a lower category has also taken several awards at the Reno, and Folsom Jazz Festivals. This band performs throughout the year for various community events and school concerts. The excitement created by the sound of these groups has created a waiting list for incoming jazz students.
