ENTERPRISE STARSHIP
2010
In its twenty-five year history, Enterprise Starship has
received top awards in festival competition at the Reno Jazz International Jazz
Festival, Fullerton Jazz Festival, Questa Jazz Festival and RAVES Jazz and Show
Choir Festival. In addition they
have consistently won superior ratings and first place standings in Heritage
Festivals in San Diego, Anaheim, San Francisco, Las Vegas and Canada. In addition, they have also won first
place and sweepstakes awards at the Music in the Parks, and Gateway Music
Festivals in San Francisco.
The Excitement generated from Starship’s performances has
been enjoyed throughout several states and countries. Performances at Disneyland, Disney World, Kennedy Space
Center, Universal Studios, Sea World, Knott’s Berry Farm and Six Flags theme
parks have highlighted numerous California tours. Starship enjoys performing
workshops, clinics, and concerts for school districts throughout California as
part of its yearly schedule. This year’s schedule includes Burney Falls, Lower
Lake and Nevada Union High School Districts. This June they will perform several shows in Hawaii where
they will also lay the wreath of the unknown soldier at Pearl Harbor.
Throughout past years, Starship has performed in France, Switzerland,
Germany, Austria, Holland, Mexico, Canada and the Bahamas. In the states they have performed in
Washington D. C., Pennsylvania, New York, Hawaii, Catalina, Nevada, Washington,
Oregon and Florida. Twice the
group has performed concerts on board Carnival Cruise Ships. They have also
been chosen to perform for the California Educator’s Association region and
state music convention.
Starship 2010 consist of twenty eight singers and dancers
with a back up band of sixteen musicians who play arrangements exclusively
written for the group by director Dan Neece. Special choreography is written and taught by Tiffany
Rodrigues.
Everywhere audiences of all ages have enjoyed their
energetic, entertaining, and professional shows. Starship was featured in the
“California Educator”, a monthly publication produced by the California
Teacher’s Association.
